Running public holidays are no longer increasing

Running public holidays are no longer increasing. Limited government-private offices-courts and industrial factories will be opened. In this case, these activities must be carried out under the hygiene rules. However, public transport, passenger boats, and trains are completely closed. However, cars and private cars can go to work. Apart from this, they will be able to fly according to strict hygiene rules.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain confirmed the information in Prothom Alo on Wednesday afternoon. A notification in this regard will be issued on Thursday, he said.
Due to coronavirus, the country has been on public holiday since March 26. The leave has already been extended in seven phases. The last general holiday was extended until May 30. The holy Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated two days ago at the end of one month of fasting. The last announced general holiday against coronavirus also ends three days later, on May 30. Many are now asking whether the holiday will increase in this situation.
In such a situation, such a decision was taken by the government regarding the leave. State Minister for Public Administration told Prothom Alo that the holiday is coming to an end on May 30. Thereafter, economic activities and office-courts will be opened to a limited extent by ensuring the protection of the life of the citizens and complying with the rules of hygiene. Government, semi-government, autonomous and non-government organizations will be able to open on a limited scale in their respective systems. In that case, the elderly, sick, and pregnant workers will refrain from going to work. Besides, government officials and employees must compulsorily abide by the 13 points of the health service department, including wearing a mask.

Shops and business centers will be open from 10 am to 4 pm as before. However, in this case, the hygiene rules must be followed more strictly. Passenger public transport, boats, trains will be completely closed. However, workplace cars and private and light vehicles will be able to travel to work.

The state minister said previous restrictions, such as moving from one district to another, would be strictly enforced. In this case, the check post will be tightened on the transport route. Besides, the educational institution will remain closed. However, online or other virtual classes will continue.

Government sources say controlling the coronavirus as well as keeping the economy afloat is a big challenge for the government. Again, the situation is deteriorating. From this decision, it has been decided to open everything in a limited way.

It was relaxed in some cases during the last holiday notification. Some establishments including shops and readymade garment factories have been opened. Banks are also open. The office is also going to be kept open if necessary.

Apart from vehicles engaged in the transportation of goods (trucks, lorries, cargo vessels, etc.), other public transport, passenger vessels, and passenger trains will also be closed. Even domestic routes will be closed. However, some organizations, including emergency services and the media, are out on holiday.
